Alex noticed the jalapeno on the ground. I guess it was too hot to eat! I think pepper flakes and pepper powder may be in order soon!

We also cut out some of the veggies that are rotting on the vine.
Alex promised at the beginning of Project Big Hugs that she'd try a tomato from the vine (she said she didn't like tomatoes but hadn't tried a HOME GROWN one before). So ... she held up her end of our bargain and gave one a try. Her facial expressions tell it all! :-)
I plan to make a Turkish dish with the veggies and see how the kids like it. After eating the Iranian eggplant dish that their mom made with an earlier harvest, I think they'll enjoy Turkish food as well.
My friend "V" hooked me up with an amazing blog site with wonderful Turkish recipes: http://almostturkish.blogspot.com/
I'm going to have fun figuring out the perfect recipe. One thing I like about Turkish food is that a lot of ingredients are staples in my house. Pictures of the finished dish will be posted (of course!).
Sounds like you need some cayenne pepper from Costco! ;)
