The garden is popping! Lots of new growth with the red pepper and the eggplant. The okra is getting pinched out by the squash. I think we'll have to reorganize next year! I'm already thinking about building another box for next year (along the side of the fence that is partially shaded) to grow various types of lettuce. This box won't be on steroids! I figured I'll leave that construction for the end of summer when it's cooler and less buggy!
Our pumpkin and watermelons are really coming along, too. I'm also looking forward to seeing some sunflowers blossom! Soon, we're going to have to get more regular with our watering schedule. With all the thunderstorms lately, we haven't had to do much of that.
