We weren't able to get all of the kids together at once ... so we planted in batches. It was loads of fun and our second planter box is going to be bursting with veggies and herbs before we know it!
We transplanted some of the herbs from the original box over to the new one because the squash has really taken over. Next time, we'll just plant ONE squash .... but, we're plucking veggies now, so maybe not! :-) During the first planting, we cut a squash. And, later in the evening when we finished planting, we cut several eggplants and trimmed down the basil. Daris and Alex took the harvest so their mom could cook it up for dinner that night! :-)
