When I went to water this morning, I noticed ants in a squash flower. I'm guessing that this isn't a good sign. I'll do a web search soon to see if I can get some answers. Anyone have any information?The eggplant is really budding with new growth! Notice that we've got a two for one going? Pretty groovy! The GREEN pepper is coming right along, too. The kids are itching to pick it. The yellow pepper plant is getting pretty tall and starting to show signs of veg growth toward the top. I wonder if the green pepper plant will start sprouting in height once the pepper has been plucked?
From the looks of things, we're going to have a good tomato harvest. The two Cherry tomato plants are really coming along. Our Roma plant kind of looks like another Cherry, but we'll see. The pumpkin and watermelons are really gaining in size. I think I need to transplant the sunflowers. They're taller, but I think they should be even larger and starting to flower. (The sunflowers were started from seeds and planted when the crew was decorating the box.)
It's going to be amazing when we start harvesting. I can't wait to get the kids inside cooking!
