It's great to see some little gardeners! Although swim team is over, it seems like the kids are on the go even more. Maybe because they actually have free time and are getting out and doing things ... or maybe it's because it's so darn hot and they're laying low? I know that Daris and Alex have been coming over to water because the hose is left in different spots and is sometimes left on ... but, I've missed actually SEEING my little friends.Today, they cleaned up some of the dead leaves, harvested some eggplants, got excited about the cucumbers, and noticed that ants were messing around in the flower of the sweet pepper plant. We also have some radishes coming up ... but, when do you pick them? This is all new to us! :-)
Daris and Alex's Uncle is visiting from Germany for the next month. He was very surprised by our project because in Germany, it's unheard of that a neighbor's yard would be open to the kids to come and go as they please. Kind of nice to show new things to people. :-) I hope he has a great stay and continues to be inspired by his stay with his family.
