Early yesterday evening, a big thunderstorm rolled though ... knocking out power with big gusts of wind. We were out of power for only about 25 minutes or so. Some folks in neighboring areas are still out today. Anyway, the tomato plants in the second box took a beating. (Next season, I'll have to have bigger structures for them and plan the boxes a little more thoughtfully.) So, I took out the garden string and got to work. Hopefully, I've been able to secure their branches so that they don't snap under their own weight.
As I was taking pictures, I noticed a bumble bee enjoying the sunflower. It's a hot day today ... but, no need to water until tonight (maybe).
